School of Calgary learners are using weed to deal with a “plethora of ailments” from discomfort to stress, according to the lead specialist on a newly launched research.

One in 10 learners revealed using therapeutic weed, laptop computer said, and almost entirely to deal with psychological healthcare concerns.

About 38 % of those learners had changed their prescriptions with weed, laptop computer discovered.

Jacqueline Cruz, an assistant lecturer of nursing, is leading the three- to five-year research. The part launched this week is the first of three stages, which will follow weed use and views on university past legalisation, expected on Oct. 17.
